News Details

We are very happy to welcome our new Visiting Fellow, Daniel Reznik, to the KLI.
Daniel is a neuroscientist at the Max Planck Society in Germany. He studied psychology, sociology, and anthropology as an undergraduate, then earned a PhD in neuroscience at Tel Aviv University, Israel. After postdoctoral training at Harvard University, USA, and the Max Planck Society, Germany, he recently received an ERC Starting Grant to open his own lab and pursue research on the nature of human memory circuits.
Daniel will be a Visiting Fellow at the KLI from May 4 to May 16, 2026. His KLI project is titled “The Evolution of Episodic Construction” and aims to formulate a novel theoretical account that (1) explains the unique properties of human memory compared with the rest of the animal kingdom and (2) addresses phenomenological differences in episodic memory across species.
Daniel will also give a talk on "The Evolutionary Trajectory of Human Hippocampal-Cortical Interactions" at a KLI Colloquium on May 7, 2026.
We wish Daniel an inspiring stay at the KLI and in Austria.
